The short version of my life is: I am a pilot for United Airlines, living in Chicago. I spent the first 10 years post high school reaching this goal and the past ten years enjoying the life I have created since. I am divorced, no kids, live with my boyfriend of 3 years.

The longer version of my life is that I went to college at the Metropolitan State College of Denver. Metro has one of the best aviation programs in the country (who knew!?!). I graduated with my Commercial pilots license and Certified Flight Instructor ratings. My first jobs were teaching (other) new pilots in small airplanes (I mean, SMALL...max take off weight of 1700 or 3000 pounds; 150 or 170 hp engines with 2 or 4 seats!! Cessna 150, 152, 172s for you aviation geeks out there). After three years of flight instructing in Florida, New Jersey, and Colorado, I was hired by a freight airline. I flew the Boeing 727 as a flight engineer and first officer. I moved ten times during the ten years post high school chasing jobs/aircraft assignments. I was hired by United Airlines in 1998, moved to Chicago and have been living there ever since. I started at United as a First Officer on the Boeing 737 and now fly the Airbus A320 (no, NOT the jumbo!). These airplanes weigh up to 162,700 pounds and hold 120, 138 or 156 people depending on the configuration. I have managed to stay employed at United despite numerous layoffs and schedule reductions in the post 09/11 and $140+/barrel oil environment.

Somewhere in the midst of all of that I have managed to have a personal life. I got married in 1995, divorced in 2002. I never wanted kids therefore never had any. I met my boyfriend in 2005 and expect to live 'happily ever after' with him. Someday we hope to get a dog, but for now with my crazy schedule I am lucky to keep my house plants alive. I have been fortunate in that I have gotten to do a lot of traveling. I have been all over the U.S., and to several places in Canada, Mexico, the Carribean, and Europe.

I am hoping to move back to Colorado in the near future. My family and closest friends are still in the area, plus the lifestyle, climate, and scenery in Colorado is like none other.

I look forward to seeing everyone at the reunion!
